Opening Doors in Chicago

In 2004, Grubhub opened our doors in Chicago.

Nineteen years later, Grubhub proudly helps over 1 million Chicagoans open their doors across the city to enjoy more than 14,000 restaurants.

Grubhub was founded on the belief that we could create opportunities for local Chicago businesses to grow by connecting our hometown’s best food with the people who love it most. It’s why we’re committed to continually giving back to the community who helped us get our start.

Our Chicago Impact

In 2023, we expanded our Serving the City initiative to Chicago. With this program, Grubhub partners with local leaders to purchase hot, prepackaged, culturally appropriate meals directly from local restaurants for onsite meal distribution events at housing authorities, senior centers, veterans’ residences, and other community-based organizations.
